Wirksworth Running Club needed a new site that would give a great overview of what the club was about and help to better promote the club’s series of races.
We redesigned the site to incorporate big feature areas to promote races, regions where the club’s activities could be viewed and improved race feature pages.
The club is run entirely by (often time-poor!) volunteers and so the site needed to be easy to add content and keep up to date. We used the WordPress content management system which has a clear and consistent administration area that is quick and easy to learn.
Since launching the site the functionality has been expanded to include online race registration and payment which has been very successful and helped to reduce some of the administrative burden of organising races.
Since launching the site the club has seen its membership grow and race entries are at an all time high.
